Claire Carlin comes to ecoAmerica from INPUT, a leading public-sector market-research firm connecting government contractors to federal and state and local business opportunities, where she served as the director of Marketing Communications and Events.  Prior to INPUT, Claire spent nine years at the Downtown DC Business Improvement District (BID) as Special Events Director.  With the goal of enhancing the vibrancy and vitality of Downtown DC, Claire produced high-profile public events for the downtown community.  Claire and her team established the popular Downtown Holiday Market.  During this time Claire also served as Director of Operations for the National Cherry Blossom Festival (NCBF), the largest tourism event in Washington, DC - drawing an estimated one million visitors annually.  For NCBF Claire developed the annual cultural entertainment program held at the Jefferson Memorial—now a signature feature of the festival, drawing an estimated 100,000 music, dance and martial arts enthusiasts and she was executive producer of the Emmy-award winning Parade. She was a 2008 German Marshall Fund Marshall Memorial Fellowship recipient and serves on the board of directors of the Capital Fringe Festival.  She is graduate of the University of Virginia.
