Aimée Christensen has worked at the intersection of environment, development, and human rights for nearly two decades. Aimée guides individuals and institutions seeking to address the global challenges of climate change, ecosystem degradation, and resource scarcity, including the Clinton Global Initiative, Carbon War Room, Duke Energy, Ogilvy, Swiss Re, the United Nations Development Program, the U.S. Department of Energy, Virgin Unite, and Wolfensohn + Co. At COP16, she put together "Business Climate Action 2010" kicking off business presence at COP16 with the CEOs of Duke, Dow, Coca-Cola, and FEMSA, with Christina Figueres and President Calderon, and she also served as Program Chair of the World Climate Summit in December 2010. As a climate adviser at Google.org, she developed the "RechargeIT" plug-in hybrid vehicle-to-grid project and advised the "Greenteam" in the company's commitment to carbon neutrality. While agenda and the first bilateral and regional agreements on climate change, and served as energy advisor for Presidential engagement with Latin America.
In addition to ecoAmerica, Aimée serves on the Boards of the American Council on Renewable Engery and the Clean Economy Network. She addressed energy issues at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and in 2010, the Aspen Institute awarded Aimée a Catto Fellowship for her environmental leadership. Aimée is also a contributing blogger and host for energyNOW! a half-hour weekly TV news-magazine and opinion program designed to inform and engage Americans on the most pressing energy issues of the day.
